Craft of the Day:Peg Dolls

A few days ago I ordered 30 baby peg dolls from CraftyWoolFelt. They ship extremely fast(3-4 days!) and are in the cutest package when they arrive!  Here is what they looked like when they arrived:

Pixel had trouble with the details on her Elsa
so Scissor made his own rendition of a rockstar.
He was very proud of it.

Scarlet had a tantrum about her Olaf snowman and Scissor just HAD to redo her's also.
These were the Halloween ones that Scissor wanted to make(rhe right one).Pixel made one herself(the left one) so she wouldn't be outdone.
These were mine!!! I have absolutely no idea what the first one is but I really like how the second one turned out.Hoorah!
This is all of the finished peg dolls lined up in a row.We hope there will be more to come!!!!

Gourmet Banana!!!

"Today we made a gourmet banana,"sounds a little cheesey for the beginning of a post but that's basically what we did!First we laid a banana(with its peel still on) in Scissor's  bonfire that we miraculously made even though it was raining when we started it.

It looked very disgusting when it came out and Pixel immediately started pretending to be sick over the edge of the couch while she was watching me upload the pictures.
I scraped a little bit of chocolate off of a bar of dark chocolate and then drizzled peanut butter over the top. And ,in case you haven't figured it out, I did take the peel off.

                                                             The result:satisfactory.

Water Fight!

Catepillar lived the entire thing throughout.... including the attention!
(above) Pinky loved the pink shirt ( that really wasn't his) a lot! He soaked it in water and splashed us with it! I t was really fun!(below) We finally got a picture with the pink shirt halfway in the air!
Scarlet got splashed!!!!! She was equal parts invigorated and freezing!
Even though it was a cloudy day, the trees were beautiful against the sky's cloudy backdrop.
Next Time...... I should be getting the patterns for muffin monsters on soon. I just need to find the time!

Guinea Pig Love

This caught me this afternoon when I was changing the guinea pig's cage. Mom helped today, so it was easier than normal to do. I just had to take a picture before it was...um....digested by a guinea pig.

This is probably the best picture I took , mostly because It's a close-up, which is my favorite type of picture.
New bedding! It's cedar scent hides the musk of guinea pig waste. Too bad you can't smell it.....
Their house looks a lot better now since when I first got them.
Fiona was scared  to come out . Her nose is so soft, It just makes you want to pet it.

Coming Soon....Muffin Monsters!

I'm starting a new series of amigurumi monsters that I call
Muffin Monsters! I got the idea from one of my favorite
amigurumi artists-Allison Hoffman who hosts the blog
Crafty is Cool. Here are pictures of just the start of Muffin
Monsters. They are wonderful presents to give to people
and are a quick, 1 hour project that you can whip up any time.

First Broccoli

I picked my first successful broccoli today! Apparently, plants grow better when I'm gone, so over Christmas Break it grew just fine. We are looking forward to eating it!

First Pattern : Fingerless Mittens

I made my first pattern!I'm really exited about it because I started on about July 2, 2014,so I was really trying to get it done.  But anyway , here it is!

*This pattern fits most sizes but it may be a little loose or a little tight depending on the hand size.  Also, the smaller your yarn is,the smaller your mitten is going to be.  I used variegated bulky yarn that I got from a thrift store so I don't really know what brand it is.
This pattern is done in the rnd.
Make a slipknot.
Rnd1:sc 22 sts
Rnds 2-9:sc in each sc around
Rnd 10: sc 10,ch 4, sc 10
Rnds 11-13:sc in each sc around
Optional:
Starting on rnd 2,sc into each stitch around.  Sc into first stitch.
Next Rnd:4 sc into each stitch around .
I had a really hard time finding nice abbreviations and instructions on the internet but I did find some on PlanetJune .
I really hope you enjoy this pattern!
